Den katolske kirken i Hønefoss må rives, og vi står overfor en formidabel oppgave: å avklare tomtens muligheter, utforme en kirke som er både vakker og funksjonell, og ikke minst sikre finansiering. For å lykkes med dette må prosjektet bæres av de troendes bønn.
Du kan ta et åndelig ansvar ved å bli bønnefadder for den nye kirken. På samme måte som vi har faste økonomiske givere, trenger vi mange som forplikter seg til å gjøre dette til en del av sin personlige bønnerytme. Kanskje du vil be den sammen med rosenkransen? Legge den til morgen- eller aftenbønnen en fast dag i uken? Eller sette kortet synlig på arbeidsplassen eller hjemmealteret, slik at bare et blikk løfter intensjonen frem for Gud?
Hvert minste bidrag er med på å styrke og inspirere alle som er involvert i prosjektet – fra planleggere og håndverkere til menigheten som en dag skal fylle kirken med liv. Den åndelige oppgaven er like viktig som den praktiske.

The Catholic church in Hønefoss must be demolished, and we face a great challenge: determining what can be built on the site, designing a church that is both beautiful and functional, and securing the necessary funding. For this project to succeed, it must be carried by the prayers of the faithful.
You can take spiritual responsibility by becoming a prayer sponsor for the new church. Just as we have regular financial donors, we need many who will commit to making this intention a part of their personal prayer routine. Perhaps you will pray for it along with the Rosary?
